当研究室では，「開発した技術が広く社会で用いられる＝役に立つ技術である＝社会貢献である」という理念のもと，開発した技術の社会実装を研究目標の一つに掲げています．しかしながら，現状取り入れられているような「研究機関で技術を研究・開発する→その後，企業へ技術移転する」というスキームでは，時間的なコストが高く，結果的に社会にタイムリーに技術を提供することが難しいことも課題の一つであると感じています．よって，「民間企業と一緒に技術を研究・開発し，開発完了と同時に民間への技術移転も完了する」というスキームを構築できないかと日々模索しています．そのためには，研究初期の段階から，どのような形であれ，企業の方々と共同で研究を実施することが一つの解決策であると思っています．また，技術の持ち腐れという事態も防ぎやすくなります．当研究室で保有している技術，ノウハウは惜しみなく社会へ還元する用意がございますので，興味を持たれた方はお気軽にお問合せください．蛇足ですが、私が大好きな相田みつを氏の言葉の中に「一生勉強，一生青春」という言葉があります．企業での仕事に加え，また少し異なった知識に触れる場を持たれることは，ポストコロナ時代における柔軟な働き方を考える上でも，重要な視点であると思っています．
EIS laboratory, one of our research goals is to implement the developed technology into society, based on the principle that “the developed technology is widely used in society = useful technology = social contribution”. However, I feel that one of the difficulties is that the current scheme of “research and development at a research institution, followed by technology transfer to a company” is time-consuming and expensive, and as a result, it is not easy to provide technology to society in a timely manner. Therefore, I am constantly searching for a way to establish a scheme in which we can research and development together with companies and complete the technology implementation to the social at the same time as the development is completed. I believe that one solution is to conduct research in collaboration with companies, in whatever form that takes, from the initial stage of research.
